Ithaca tracks your walks across London and builds a personal heatmap of the streets you've explored. Here's how to get going:
All data is stored locally on your device only. Ithaca does not upload your data to any server. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.
Open the app → Settings → scroll to the bottom → "Clear All Data". This removes all walks, pins, and stats from your device.
Make sure the heatmap layer is enabled. Open the Layers menu (the filter icon on the map) and toggle "Heatmap" on. If you haven't tracked any walks yet, there won't be any data to display.
Open the Walks tab → tap a walk → use "Share Walk", "Share GPX Route", or "Share as Image" to send your walk via the iOS share sheet.
Yes. Ithaca works on iPhone and iPad. On iPad, location tracking requires a device with GPS (e.g. Wi-Fi + Cellular models).
Go to Settings → toggle "Apple Health" on. The app will ask for permission to read steps and write walking workouts. You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access.
